Ok, here comes the old story once again: In 1965 Soviet ministry of defence started ordering watches for the army from Chistopol factory. New army model was branded Vostok Komandirskie (Commander) and apparently its quality control was better than that of civil versions. These watches were signed "3AKA3 MO CCCP" (by the order of Soviet ministry of defence), and sold in special "voentorg" shops only for military personnel. Only in mid 80's Komandirskies became available to everyone, and the civil versions were signed "сделано в СССР".

Some say the Komandirskies were very hot and sought after items in Russia in 70's. On the other hand, some say nobody wanted a Vostok in Russia. They all wanted a Seiko. And that Komandirskies or "3AKA3 MO" versions were no different than civil Vostoks. Whatever the truth is, "3AKA3 MO" versions have later become famous among the russian watch collectors.

I have understood that this is one of the oldest Komandirskie models. It has the 2234 movement with hacking function. The condition is not very good, at least in the pictures - in reality this watch still looks surprisingly nice. This item was found from Sweden.
