Introduced in 1933, Ombrux was Gossen's first model - although it was originally sold with name "Photolux" first few months. Together with Weston's model 617, that was released about the same time in US, it was also the world's first successful photoelectric light meter. There where apparently at least couple of other selenium cell meters that were made earlier, but they managed to sell only small quantities.

This one is rarely seen UK version, imported by J.H.Dallmeyer Ltd., in relatively good condition. Bought from Cornwall, UK.
